Our trucks are turned over every 3 years to insure maximum reliability.  Most HEI trucks are Internationals or Freightliners, with air-ride, equipped with Detroit or Cummins engines.  Currently over 50% of our fleet have Auxilliary Power Units (APU’s) and all HEI trucks have the most extensive security measures and equipment available.

Trailers are turned over every 6 years and are equipped with R-90 Carrier refrigeration units. Trailers are satellite monitored (can be remotely controlled from a central location).  Temperature deviation alarms are in place on all trucks and trailers.

All trucks and trailers have temperature monitoring devices to help prevent loss, and security devices to prevent theft.  We validate all of our trailers and set our own internal SOP's.  Our benchmark criteria for HEI refrigerated trailers are the same as many pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
